Ba(HCOO)2-Ln(HCOO)3-H2O systems at 250 deg C

Description
The solubility and composition of solid phases in the Ba(HCOO)2-Ln(HCOO)3-H2O system, where Ln=Er, Ho at 25 deg C, are studied. Formation of new congruently soluble compounds of the BaEr(HCOO)5 and BaHo(HCOO)5 composition is established. Presence of metastable states in the studied systems is identified, which is essential for synthesis of high temperature superconducting compounds from water solutions of formates and makes it possible to obtain samples of the assigned composition and with high chemical homogeneity
