A dynamical string-Parton model for relativistic heavy-ion collisions

  • 1. Vanderbilt Univ., Nashville, TN (United States). Dept. of Physics and Astronomy
  • 2. Oak Ridge National Lab., TN (United States)

Description

We introduce a new model for simulating the hadronic phenomena at relativistic heavy-ion colliders. The model is based on dynamical Nambu strings with extensions to include the essential features of the Parton model. The 3+1 dimensional calculations are performed for various systems, including the leading quark attenuation in μ-A, and A-A results from NA35 and WA80
