The Relation of Fission Product Release Limitations to the Design and Operation of a Large HTR Station
Description
The key features concerning fission product release from a power HTR are: (a) Release of I-131 during normal operation due to helium leakage. (b) Plate-out of I-131 and Cs-137 on primary circuit surfaces. (c) Rel.ease of Sr-90 during a reactor depressurisation, possibly following a leakage of steam into the circuit.
