Use of 3D eddy-current code for optimizing an NDT probe

Description
We report the use of a three-dimensional eddy-current code, TRIFOU, in the optimization stage of a probe for controlling the tubes of the steam generators for the PWR reactors. We put the emphasis on how such a code has to be employed to be efficient at a reasonable cost. After a short description of the code and of the probe, we discuss what kind of calculations has to be done and we present some results, in particular eddy-currents distributions for different values of some parameters of the probe.
