Removing oxygen from the La metal by extraction with fused salts

Full text: In this paper, a method is described for removing from the calciothermic reduction of La metal by extraction with fused salts. Calcium content was 0.2wt% in La metal prepared by the calcium reduction of La fluoride. The oxygen content was reduced to less than 0.05% by procedure
