Manufacturing process for electrodes for ionizing radiation detectors

Description

A manufacturing proces for electrodes for ionizing radiation detectors, particularly electrodes for X-ray multidetectors, is proposed. It consists of electrodepositing at least one layer of an electrically conducting material on at least one side of a relatively flat plate. A ductile material is used to form the conducting layer. The assembly formed by the plate covered by the ductile conducting material is subjected to pressing to crush the ductile conducting material at least in the zones where the assembly formed by the plate and the covering material has a total thickness superior to a constant thickness desired for the electrode

Abstract (French)

Un procede de fabrication d'une electrode pour detecteur de rayons ionisants, particulierement des electrodes de chambre d'ionisation pour multidetecteur de rayons X, est propose. Il consiste a deposer par electrodeposition au moins une couche d'un materiau electriquement conducteur sur au moins une face d'une plaque relativement plane. On utilise un materiau ductile pour former la couche conductrice. On soumet l'ensemble forme par la plaque recouverte de materiau conducteur et ductile a un pressage, de maniere a ecraser le materiau conducteur et ductile au moins dans les zones ou l'ensemble forme par la plaque et la couche de materiau ductile comporte une epaisseur totale superieure a une epaisseur constante desiree pour l'electrode
