Collective doses from recycling of contaminated scrap metal
Description
Collective doses have been calculated for the recycling of 90 tons of contaminated scrap metal from a nuclear power plant. The contamination level was of the order of 100 Bq/kg and the resulting collective doses from handling, transportation, and melting was calculated to 70 μmanSv. The doses from the use of the products manufactured from this batch were negligible although they were not calculated. (Author)
