ABDOMEN PELVIS. Adrenal tumors - differential diagnosis with the T2 MRI calculator

Description
Focal findings in the adrenal gland can be benign or malignant. Adenomas and pheochromocytomas, along with metastases, are among the most likely differential diagnoses. Differentiating between these two tumors on CT or MRI scans is challenging as they are very similar in their radiological features. MIBG scintigraphy provides more accurate results, but is time-consuming and costly.

Herdbefunde in der Nebenniere können benigne oder maligne sein. Adenome und Phäochromozytome gehören, neben den Metastasen, zu den wahrscheinlichsten Differenzialdiagnosen. Die Unterscheidung dieser beiden Tumore in CT- oder MRT-Aufnahmen stellt eine Herausforderung dar, da sie sich in ihren radiologischen Merkmalen sehr ähnlich sind. Eine MIBG-Szintigrafie liefert zwar genauere Resultate, ist aber aufwendig und kostenintensiv.Additional details
