Description
Generally,the green sandstone was regarded as the classification criteria for the ancient interlayer oxidation zone in the prospecting for sandstone type uranium deposits in northeastern Ordos ba sin. Based on comprehensive analysis of spatial distribution law of green sandstone, the characteristic of uranium mineralization development, the characteristic of combination of mineral alteration and the geo chemical environmental indicators of sandstone in Nalinggou uranium deposit, the authors believed that green color not only represent the ancient oxidizing environment, but also appeared in different ancient interlayer oxidation zone, the transitional zone and primary zone. It is of realistic direction significance to identify the green sandstone in different alteration zone correctly for the sandstone type uranium deposits prospecting in northeastern Ordos basin.
