Description
HTGR fuel production line built in Baotou Inner Mongolia, China North Nuclear Fuel Co,. Ltd., on March 16, 2013. The project is expected in Nov. 2015 to product. The technology based on Tsinghua University's technology for spherical fuel elements manufacturing with independent intellectual property rights, the manufacturing line include chemical conversion, UO2 kernel preparation, coated particles preparation, fuel sphere preparation, graphite matrix preparation, waste processing, solid waste recycling and so on. To satisfy the production capacity and automatism requirement of demonstration project, perform magnifying research of process equipment, and optimize process design. Through perform technology research, accumulating experience that manufacture mega-quantity sphere fuel element which supply commercial modular HTGR in future. Achieve objective that advance level of national nuclear power. (authors)
