Preserve good corrosion resistance of stainless steels during their welding
Creators
Description
Carried out during zirconium or titanium alloys stainless steels welding, inerting consists to protect with an inert gas (nitrogen or pure argon) all the welding element or the underside of the welded joint. The aim of inerting is to remove oxygen and other atmospheric gases which can react with melts and induce oxidation, porosity and gassing in melts. (O.M.)
