Analysis of critical neutron-scattering data from iron and dynamical scaling theory

  • 1. Brookhaven National Lab., Upton, N.Y. (USA)

Description

Experimental three-axis spectrometer data of critical neutron-scattering data from Fe are reanalyzed and compared with the recent theoretical prediction by R\'esibois and Piette. The reason why the spin-diffusion parameter did not obey the prediction of dynamical scaling theory is indicated. Double-axis spectrometer data have previously been interpreted in terms of a non-Lorentzian susceptibility χ(q). It is shown that with proper corrections for the inelasticity of the scattering the data are consistent with a Lorentzian form of χ(q).
