Description
Results from absorption measurement in potash and rock salt mines in Federal Republic of Germany are presented. The following method is used: The electromagnetic wave is radiated from one bore hole. Output and standing wave ratio is recorded. In a known distance the field strength is measured in a second bore hole, gallery, working, or shaft. Without changing the mechanical length of the antenna it is possible to measure with several frequencies between 3 and 30 MHz. (author)
