The determination of radioactivity level in drinking water in Turkey and studies of Eskisehir's vicinity
Description
The purpose of these study is to determine the level of gross alpha and gross beta activities of samples collected from the different Regional Directories of The State Hydraulic Works (DSI). After that compare the results versus permissible values of World Health Organisation and Turkish Standards. Collected samples from 25 Regional Directories of DSI have completed. All the analyses results compared with Turkish Standard (TS 266) and World Health Organization (WHO). We will give all the research our final report. It is well known that water and their natural radioactivity levels develop depending on regional geology. Eskisehir and its surrounding selected as a research area. The hydrogeochemical properties (U, Th, F and heavy metals) of water sources and natural contents of radioactivity (Gross and 222Rn) will be determined in the frame of this project. . It is also hoped that this project will be a base study for other parts of Turkey
