Study of variation in grain size in weldless rings of EhI437BVD alloy

Description
Grain size in various sections of rings of alloy type EhI437BVD was studied after various heat treatments. It was shown that uneven grain occurs due to nonuniform deformation and nonhomogeneous distribution of secondary carbides. Homogeneous grain structure may be provided by the following heat treatment: annealing at 100 deg C for 3h with air cooling, air quenching from 1080 deg C (8h), ageing at 750 deg C for 16h
