Description

The use of UNILAC accelerator for the accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) of 41Ca has the advantages of a low background and high sensitivity. The problem which prevented precise measurements in the past was the accurate determination of the transmission through the accelerator. Therefore, the possibility of a 82Kr pilot beam was investigated with emphasis on the influence of a small difference in the mass-to-charge ratio on the transmission. (orig.)
