The effect of tensor forces in the three-body calculations

Creators

  • 1. International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste

Description

A three-body model is used in calculating the binding energies of the nuclei /sup 3/H, /sup 3/He and /sup 6/Li. The two-body interactions contain both attraction and repulsion, and include tensor forces. The effect of tensor forces is found to improve the binding energies by about 4.5% - 8.3%
