About relation between mass absence and gap in the lattice gauge theories

Description

The absence of electric charge in a dipole state, with limited energy, in a U(1) lattice gauge theory with scalar matter field, in the 'screening-confinement' region of the phase diagram of the theory, in the limit in which we take one of the constituent particles to infinity, is studied. It contains an introductory part, an apendix on polymer expansions and a review of results on changed states in the Z2 model (Author)

Estuda-se a ausencia de carga eletrica de um estado um estado de dipolode energia limitada, em uma teoria de gauge com simetria U(1) acoplada a campos de materia escalares formulada em uma rede, na regiao de'blindagem-confinamento' do diagrama de fase da teoria, no limite em que se afasta uma das particulas constituintes ate o infinito. Apresentam-se uma parte introdutoria, um apendice sobre expansoes de polimeros e um de revisao de resultados sobre estados carregados no modelo Z2. (Author)
