Problems of biomass utilization in power engineering

The problems connected with biomass utilization for power generation are considered. The technology of methane fermentation and the KOBOS modular plant designed for this purpose, as well as such widely used methods as direct biomass combustion, biomass pyrolysis, combustion of town refuse or solid household rubbish, refuse processing on proving grounds and production of liquid fuels, methanol and ethanol, in particular, are described
