Determination of pH of fluoride-containing solutions using ion selective field transistor with tantalum(5) oxide film

Description
The paper deals with peculiarities of electrode behaviour of ion-selective field transistor (ISFT) with Ta2O5 film in KF solutions with concentration up to 2.5 m in the range of pH values from 0 to 12. Accuracy of pH value determination is ± 0.05 pH for solutions with KF concentration lower 1.0 m and it goes down to ± 0.1 pH in solutions with KF concentration 2.0-2.5 m as a result of ISFT characteristics instability growth which is related to oxide film dissolution rate increase. 4 refs., 1 fig
