Description

A theory of inclusive single particle scattering at intermediate and high energies on nuclei is developed; it comprehends in one formalism both coherent and incoherent effects and clarifies the transition to a macrophysical description. The Wigner representation is used. A transport equation is derived, valid at all angles. Its components are given in quadrature in terms of two body cross sections. Effects of correlations are discussed and approximately calculated. A program leading to the systematic treatment of transport in all nuclei is outlined
