Programs of meteorology in support of nuclear power plants (CNEN-Resolution-DEx-I 04/89)
Description
It establishes minimum requirements for the meteorology programmes supporting nuclear power plants to be appropriate for obtaining and applying reliable information and data for: acceptable evaluation of radiological and environmental consequences in operational situations and conditions of accidents; consideration in planning and applying protective measures to workers, the general public and the environment, in emergency situations. It applies to activities relating to the determination of atmospheric parameters such as basic meteorological information and classification of atmospheric stability in the location, construction and operation phases of nuclear power plants; It specifies the general arrangement and assembly of meteorological instruments for meteorological parameter measurements as well as determines the accuracy and maintenance of instrumentation systems as well as protection, recovery, monitoring, reduction, storage and data recording period
