Description
A series of Dy:CaYAlO phosphors were synthesized both by high-temperature solid-state reaction route (SS) and citrate sol-gel (CSG) method. The best calcined temperature and duration time for the CSG method were studied. The phase, morphology-size, and photoluminescence properties were investigated by XRD, SEM, and PLE-PL method, respectively. Luminescence spectra of different Dy doped samples were measured. Excited by 353 nm, all the Dy:CaYAlO powers show bright yellow emission and weaker blue and red emission on account of the 4f-4f transition of Dy ion. Results show Dy:CaYAlO phosphor could be a promising yellow phosphor for LED.
