Description
The present invention concerns a method of inspecting the integrity of a tubular PWR fuel assembly structure by using a multifrequency eddy current defect detecting method. That is, in the present invention, a probe provided with coils is inserted to the inside of a tubular structure as a portion of the constituent elements of a fuel assembly and a multifrequency eddy current defect detecting method is employed. According to the present invention, it is possible to distinguish the defect of the guide simple tube in an indication lattice portion that can not be distinguished so far by a usual single frequency eddy current defect detecting method. Further, it is also possible to overcome the drawback in the conventional method that signals obtained from the defects can not be distinguished clearly because of jolting of the probe in the guide simple tube which fluctuate the output signals.
