The use of radioactive tracers for insect feeding rate determination

Description
The feeding rate of insects can be measured by applying food labelled by stable or radioactive tracers. In this paper another method is demonstrated by determining the food consumption from the tracer clearance rate. 22Na and HT18O have been used for demonstrating the feasibility of this method with some insects.
