Measurement of domain boundary width in ferrite-garnet films

Description
The technique of magnetooptical measurement of domain boundary (DB) width in transparent magnetics is suggested. The ratio connecting the value of a relative increase of light wave intensity with the effective DB width is found. The experiments are carried out using an yttrium ferrite garnet where the width of 180 deg boundaries constituted 0.06±0.02μm
