Explanation of abnormal width for giant resonance in 14C

Description
According to the matching results of isospin components of cross section of phonon absorption by 14C nucleus, the isospin splitting (together with the configurational one) of a giant dipole resonance is responsible for the abnormally wide cross section of photoabsorption of the mentioned nucleus. One determined the value of isospin splitting equal to 10 MeV
Abstract (Russian)
На основе результатов совмещения изоспиновых компонентов сечения поглощения фотонов ядром 14С показано, что изоспиновое (совместно с конфигурационным) расщепление гигантского дипольного резонанса ответственно за формирование аномально широкого сечения фотопоглощения этого ядра.
