Parallactic observations of radioaurora space ordering

  • 1. AN SSSR, Kol'skij Filial. Polyarnyj Geofizicheskij Inst.

Description

Near-midnight radioaurora has been studied. The results were obtained in May-June 1972 and in June 1973 with the help of two separated radars. Anisotropy of scattering in the plane normal to the geomagnetic field has been revealed. This effect at the active stage of the sub-storm is due to three-dimensional ordering of inhomogeneities. The azimuth width of the scattering indicatrisse is estimated. The anisotropy of scattering is found to correlate with generation of Pi2 pulsations
