State report on the population health in the Russian Federation in 1995

Description

Sanitary-epidemiological situation and environmental radioactivity in the Russian Federation in 1995 are considered. Contamination due to the Chernobyl accident and Mayak facility is marked to be conserved. Cs-137 and Sr-90 play the main role in population exposure as it was before. Radioactive waste management is the acute problem of radiation protection in the country. Attention is paid to the regulation and legal aspects of the sanitary-epidemiological status of the population as well as to the activities of research enterprises and public health programs and directions
