Study of a digital spectro analyzer
Description
This report includes a theoretical study of a device achieving the multiplication of a matrix by a vector. This type of device is interesting because it enables to process on-line all sorts of problems which can be reduced to convolutions, for instance the spectro coefficient calculation in a mixture quantitative analysis by gamma spectrometry. In the studied device, the matrix is available on magnetic tape and the vector may be directly produced, for instance from a multi-channel selector, as in the preceding case. Works carried out enabled to index the problems involved by achieving such as a device, by means of a complete circuit definition. (author)
Abstract (French)
Dans ce rapport, on presente l'etude theorique d'un appareil realisant la multiplication d'une matrice par un vecteur. L'interet de ce genre d'appareil reside dans la possibilite de traiter en ligne toutes sortes de problemes pouvant se ramener a des convolutions, par exemple le calcul des coefficients de spectre dans l'analyse quantitative d'un melange par spectrometrie gamma. Dans le dispositif etudie, la matrice est disponible sur bande magnetique et le vecteur peut etre fourni directement, par exemple a partir d'un selecteur muiticanal, dans le cas precedent. Les travaux effectues ont permis d'inventorier les problemes que poserait la realisation d'un tel appareil en definissant completement les circuits. (auteur)Files
