Arizona uranium: the search heats up

Uranium finds in Arizona since 1946 are briefly reviewed. The area of most interest embraces at least 150 mi2 in southwest Yavapai County and northeast Yuma County generally east of the Bill Williams River and south of the Santa Maria River. The exploration, development, and geological formation of the Anderson Mine, which is the most important in this area, are discussed. Some speculative predictions as to if and where other deposits similar to that of the Anderson Mine might exist are included
