Local doses associated with sup(119m)Sn isomeric transition
- 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR). Khimicheskij Fakul'tet
Description
The energy absorbed by immediate surrounding of disintegrating sup(119)Sn nuclei were estimated by comparing the Moessbauer emission spectra of sup(119m)Sn in some tin compounds with the absorption spectra of the same substances after γ-irradiation and by simple calculations of Auger electrons energy losses. The results obtained indicate that the observed post-effects of the sup(119m)Sn decay are due to self-radiolysis and other processes, whose contributions depend on the individual properties of the matrices.
