Fast neutron reactor liquid metal coolant purifying apparatus

The invention concerns a device using cold trapping for impurities. The device comprises a liquid metal circulate pump, means to cool the liquid metal to be purified, other means to heat the purified metal, and a metallic fiber filter. It includes a group of annular chambers, of which the axis is vertical closed at their lower part by a base plate and separated each others by coaxial and cylindrical metallic envelopes. From outside to the center, the device comprises, a degassing chamber, a chamber including an exchanger-economizer, a thermal insulating wall, a cooling chamber and a purification chamber of which the central part has a filter cartridge. In the central part of the cartridge, a liquid metal collecting channel is provided communicating with a basin collecting the purified liquid metal over the device.
