The French nuclear power-station programme
Description
France is the only country in Western Europe which is carrying out, without any great restrictions, an extensive nuclear power-station programme. It includes approvals for the construction of 13,000 MW in the years 1974 to 1975, of 12,000 MW for 1976 to 1977 and of 5,000 MW annually for the years 1978 to 1980. The author explains why this programme was drawn up and how it is to be carried out. Finally he discusses the nuclear power-stations of the future - the fast breeders. (orig.)

Als einziges Land der westlichen Welt fuehrt Frankreich heute ohne groessere Kuerzungen ein grossangelegtes Kernkraftwerksprogramm durch. Es umfasst Genehmigungen fuer den Bau von 13 000 MW in den Jahren 1974 bis 1975, von 12 000 MW fuer 1976 bis 1977 und von 5 000 MW jaehrlich fuer die Jahre 1978 bis 1980. Der Verfasser erlaeutert, weshalb dieses Programm aufgestellt wurde und wie es durchgefuehrt werden soll. Abschliessend geht er auf die Kernkraftwerke der Zukunft - die Schnellen Brueter - ein.
