Biological Response Evaluation of Space Radiation and Defence Mechanism
Description
This research is performed to expand basic research on 'biological response evaluation of space environment and development of defence system' and to produce fusion research outcome of radiation and space technology In-vitro and in-vivo space environment simulation model system is developed and biological responses such as genetic expression and novel bio-marker were evaluated. KAERI and Russia IBMP performed various joint research such as Bio-risk, Bion-M1. Immunological effect of probiotics and microbiota changes also carried out using space environment simulation model system. The results of this project expected to be used as an important basic research data when if Korea carry out the human space project.
