  • 1. Institute of Naval Medical Research, Shanghai, SH (China)

Description

After i.v., 89Sr-retention in rats showed a sigificant difference between the young group and the other two groups, the adult and old groups, but there is no significant difference between the latter two groups. The retention fraction for 89Sr in the slow compartment of bone in the young group was higher than in the adult or old groups, but effective half-life (Te2) in this group was lower than in the latter two groups. The whole body dose estimated for young group was 6.0 and 7.0 times higher than those of adult and old groups respectively. However the dose of bone in young group was 4.7 and 6.9 times higher than those of the latter two groups
