Description
A mechanism of generation of coherent terahertz electromagnetic radiation upon irradiation of a nanostructured metal surface by femtosecond laser pulses is proposed. The mechanism is based on the stimulated coherent radiation of electrons emitted from the metal surface and filling hollows in the periodic nanostructure. (nonlinear optical phenomena)
