Operating diagnostics system of WWER 440 nuclear unit

The system is divided into two subsystems: the diagnostics of the primary circuit which includes the in-core diagnostics and the diagnostic assembly, and the diagnostics of the control system. The system is designed as an open system; it may be adapted to the requirements proceeding from the projects of the individual nuclear units and to the demands placed by the operator. Practically all sensors of the primary circuit diagnostics are placed inside a sealed zone. The evaluating and control sections use the CAMAC modular system. The system of control consists of a separate computer measuring system which allows for communication between the operator in the unit control room and the operating diagnostics system. (M.D.)
