Description
Here we present a brief review of some recent works, which were provided in our lab in collaboration with other organizations, on the thermophysics of matter at high pressures and temperatures from relatively small (corresponding to the upper layers of the earth's crust to extremely high (corresponding to the planets mantle and core). Some examples, including laser shock compression of structured targets, in particular with strongly heterogeneous laser spot, carbon equation of state for Mebars pressure (as a one of most probable components it's important for the giant planet mantle description and modeling), etc. are considered. We also announce about our solutions in generalization of thermodynamics in formalism of fractional derivatives, in particular with application to extreme states. Finally, we talk about the uniformity and the stability of a volume discharge in near-atmospheric pressure and discuss recent experimental results on the confinement of high temperatures in plasmas of high-pressure gas discharge in strong magnetic fields.
