Synthesis and crystal structure of bis(2-hydroxy-1-naphthalideneanilinato)zinc (2) and -beryllium (2) complexes

Description

BeL2 complex (L=O-C10H6-CH=N-Ph) has been synthesized, its X-ray diffraction analysis is conducted (R=0.085 for 1188 reflections). The crystals are monoclinic, Z=4; a=10.534, b=16.792, c=14.660 A, β=92.30, ρcalcld=1.29, F. gr. P21/n. Be atom in the complex has a distorted tetrahedral coordination. Average values of bond length and angles are: Be-O 1.58, Be-N 1.73 A, OBeO 115, NBeN 110, OBeN 104 (chelate) and 112 deg
