Properties and uses of rapidly quenched alloys
Description
Properties of materials with amorphous and microcrystalline structure are considered. Fields of application of magnetic amorphous alloys (sources of power, tape-recording devices, sensitive elements, permanent magnets), corrosion-resistant and high-strength amorphous materials are indicated. Application of amorphous alloys as chemical reaction catalysers, brozing alloys, elements of devices with shape memory effect, composite material components is underlined.
