Sustained uranium-concrete interactions: the SURC experiments
Description
The Ex-vessel Core Debris Interactions Program is designed to measure, model, and assess the thermal gas evolution, and aerosol source terms produced as a consequence of core-concrete interactions. These source terms are the governing phenomena in any post accident containment integrity evaluation or risk consequence analysis. A matrix of six tests is being executed as part of the Ex-vessel Program. This matrix is designated as the SURC (SUSTAINED URANIA-CONCRETE) test series
