Description
The technique of soft X-ray diffraction available at the beamline A1 of HASYLAB has been developed to a level which allows protein crystallography using sulfur and phosphorus as resonant native labels at wavelengths near the K-absorption edges. This has been achieved by increasing the transparency of the X-ray beam path and progress in the design of the sample environment. Future developments are discussed. (orig.)
