Dynamics of spinodal decomposition in nuclei
Description
The spinodal decomposition of hot and dilute nuclear systems is discussed, such as the ones that could be created in violent heavy ion collisions at intermediate energies, using a reliable stochastic one body approach It is emphasized that the early clusterization process is characterized by the partition of the system in nearly equal mass fragments and by the lack of very small clusters. These features depend only on general properties of the matter under consideration, especially on the range of the attractive part of the effective interaction. (author)
