Preliminary analysis on prospecting potential of uranium in Baoshan-Changning, Yunnan province
Description
Results of comprehensive geologic, geophysical and geochemical uranium reconnaissance indicate that the uranium-rich strata (bodies) are Middle Proterozoic and Preordovician, Indosinian and Yanshanian granitic bodies. The area where anomalous haloes delineated by different prospecting methods are superimposed is the central-southern part of the Xinjie-Mangshui median uplift, especially the Xinjie massif and its endo-and exo-contact zone where uranium occurrences No. 5071 and 5072 are located. Based on the above-mentioned it is inferred that the hydrothermal uranium mineralisation at the eastern endo-and exo-contact of the Xinjie massif is the prospecting target in the future
