Overview of loop's facilities for in-core materials and water chemistry testing

  • 1. Nuclear Research Institute Rez plc, Rez (Czech Republic)

Description

Loop facilities at LVR-15 reactor for in-core material and water chemistry testing are presented. These facilities are used for study and testing of environmental degradation of materials exposed in primary and core system of water reactors. The material studied involve reactor pressure vessel (RPV) steels, in core structures and fuel cladding in PWR, VVER and BWR water chemistry. The main interest is to perform the test in-core under influence of simultaneous effect of gamma and neutron radiation. (author)
