Study of the tau- ---> pi- pi- pi+ pi0 pi0 nu/tau and tau- --> 3h- 2h+ nu/tau Decays Using the BaBar Detector

Description

The τ- → π-π-π+π0π0ντ and τ- → 3h- 2h+ ντ decays have been studied using the BABAR experiment at the PEP-II e+e- storage ring. Preliminary branching fractions are given for the τ- → π-π-π+π0π0ντ and to the sub-channels τ- → ηπ- π0ντ and τ- → ω(782)π-π0ντ. A preliminary upper limit is given on the branching fraction for the φ(1020)π-π0ντ mode. In addition a preliminary measurement of the branching fraction of the τ- → 3h-2h+ ντ decay (h = π, K) is presented
