Description
Description and characteristics of a set-up for searching 2β-decay of 76Ge are presented. Use of a semiconductor germanium detector enriched by 76Ge isotope up to 85%, that provides for proportional increase of a set-up sensitivity, is a principle feature differing the given set-up from analogous ones. Under full protection in surface measurements the background index of 0.073 events/100 keVx100 cm3x h was obtained in the peak range from 2β-decay of 76Ge (2000-21000 keV). The resulting suppression of the beakground in the given energy range constituted 6000
