Elemental analysis of Li and B with proton-induced γ-ray reactions
Description
The applicability of the 7Li(p,p'γ)7Li and 10B(p,αγ)7Be reactions at Esub(p)=2.4 MeV to the elemental analysis of lithium and boron on the ppm level has been investigated under practical conditions. The identification of the peaks was proved to be unambiguous when Doppler broadening of the peaks was taken into consideration. As a practical test, the Li and B concentrations of the NBS-1571 standard (orchard leaves) were determined. (author)
