Description

This paper addresses the use of the Implicit Monte Carlo radiation transport technique in multi-physics simulations. We discuss how the features of this radiation transport algorithm contribute to and impact simulations involving hydrodynamics, laser ray tracing, and thermonuclear burn. We also discuss modifications of the algorithm needed for massively parallel computations, and address the issue of load balance. (authors)
